This past weekend, Dad, Mom, Joseph, Blake and I went on a roadtrip to the Redwoods. I hadn't been in a few years and this was a little refresher trip. Within 15 minutes of leaving the house, we texted Kara letting her know how we were missing her. She replied, "You are going across country without me!?" Later, Dad and I had fun remembering our last trip to the redwoods because it was right after we each had surgeries... Hiking through the redwoods on crutches, 3& 4 weeks after ankle surgeries is quite an experience! The first night of our trip we were headed to stay at a Walmart for the night but found a little, and quite squashed together, trailer park. The next night, we stayed at a trailer/rv park right on the edge of the woods. We went to a visitor center and then we hiked (dad hobbled =) to see the Founders Tree and the really-long-tree-that-fell-down Tree. =) We tried to find other trails but didn't have any luck. We didn't do much except drive around but it was still fun. On the way home, we drove home a different way than 101 and went by Clear Lake and down 5 to home.
We built a little padded room for him to sleep in... He heard us awake and wanted to join us. He had a little hard time actually laying down and sleeping but thankfully he was happy!
Stopped for lunch on the side of the road. Blake got to eat on the counter... It was easier than him sitting at the table and me trying to feed when when I couldn't see his mouth!
Makes Blake look so tiny!!
Daddy, Papa & Blake and Grandma
He just loves to stand up! Joseph let him stand, but then Blake couldn't see where he was headed!
So Joseph pushed the stroller backwards... That is very difficult to do!
Me taking pictures of Joseph taking pictures of me taking pictures.
My good lookin' padres!
Happy boy absolutely loves his Papa!
Lookin' at daddy!
Mmm... My Muscle Man!
Because Chad was on FB, Dad pulled over so mom could talk to him. Dad and Joseph measured a tree that had fallen... Approximately 300' . "Um Mark? Why do you have a big measuring tape in your truck?"
Happy boy loves the front seat already! Papa was letting him play with the steering wheel!
Joseph sat on one side of the road and dad watched from the other side while I laid down in the road to get this shot!!
Sleepy lil' man!
Through the trailer's tinted windows... "Watchin' Papa".
Can you believe he is already 8 months old!
Chillin' with Daddy

Dad said, "Hey Joe, I wonder how deep the river gets..."
This is how we 'Reeders' pass the baby!
The river was not too cold to swim in!
The dads skipping rocks while the moms took pictures! How wierd is that?! Dads and moms!!
Can you spot the truck from our location?
