Moments of Our Days

Enjoying cozy time with Daddy

Blaire lost her first tooth and the new was already grown in! No toothless smile for this girl!

The kids decided they wanted to surprise us for dinner. They kicked us out of the kitchen to set the table and were proud to show off their skills... that they learned from watching Blaire's favorite show- Spirit.

The weather has shifted. A thunder/wind storm rolled in early in the afternoon. The kids set up their chairs to watch for lightening. It got cold fast and so they ran in to get their blankets. One huge gust hit and I heard Blaire scream, "BLAKE!! I'M AFRAID!!!" to which, he screamed back at her, "PRAY, BLAIRE! IF YOU'RE AFRAID, TELL GOD!!!!!" She then covered her head with her blanket and Blake turned to me to give me a thumbs up!

Mellie brought a bird into the house for lunch. We quickly discovered it and that it wasn't dead when it tried to escape her clutches! By the time the poor thing made it to the porch, it was fairly shocked and bleeding in a spot or two. It was so scared, Blake was able to pick it up and hold it for a few minutes. He pet the bird and held it on his thumb until it was recovered enough to flutter away. We kept the cat in the house until we were sure the bird had a nice head start. It was not flying too well yet.

Blaire drew a map of our house, to Donnelly town, and down to Grama's way.

Foggy mornings have arrived and Blake is one happy fellow, waiting for the soon coming snow!

Grama's birthday is the end of the month. With that in mind came thoughts of canning. So I bought some strawberries and peaches and made some big batches! Not sure why my berries float in some jars and not others, but their flavor is good!!

Blaire fell asleep while Daddy read to her and Blake before bed.

A couple birthdays ago, Auntie Brenda bought Blaire a swing. She. Loves. It. She spends a majority of her summer camping on the swing each day!

This girl loves her poor cat- Gideon!
