The days are cold but no snow. Normally we get our Christmas tree on December 5th, between Joseph and my birthdays. This year there was no snow since it melted the day after Thanksgiving so we postponed our hunting until the snow would come. . . .
Outside playing with their chickens. The neighbor is deathly afraid of the crazy birds so the kids have to babysit whichever ones they let out. This time Sunset was allowed roam.
Little Timothy! He is such a happy, easy going baby who smiles every chance he gets!!

December 11th it finally snowed.... and we picked the snowiest day of the forecast to go hunt a tree!! Chad tried to take us up a snowmobile pregroomed trail but we didn't want a ticket so we turned around and found a tree over by the Fishing Bridge.
As we loaded up our tree, the Sheriff got stuck in the fresh snow. The first truck couldn't pull him out, so when Chad arrived, he helped the first guy and they finally got the Sheriff unstuck! He had thought that if we were in the parking lot, he was safe... but we have a bigger vehicle than he did! Apparently this was his first day with the SUV and normally he had a full size truck that he could drive just about anywhere!
Last year Blake was too afraid (of the height?) to place the bell. Blaire had then placed it. This year, Blake was brave enough to place the bell on top the tree! Yes, we have a bell for our tree topper. Its from the Bethlehem Village event that Joseph and I met at in 2008.
