Marriage Adventures- Bucket List One by One

The Air Guard annually hosts a marriage retreat for their couples. Last year we attended and got to stay a weekend up at Tamarack (10 minutes from home). This year, they hosted from McCall (15 minutes from home). Every year is a new location and we have had it easy being close to home! Maybe next year we'll travel!
For the free time after the Saturday morning session, we had 5 hours to explore. We had two things we had to do. 1) Recreate one of your favorite memories. 2) Have fun exploring.

First, I went to the dr because I developed Strep Throat and needed meds and then we went and took a picture in front of our first house in Idaho!

The house sure has.... have we changed much in 4.5 years?!
The woman who now lives there was fighting broken pipes and melting snow in her pond of a yard. I definitely don't miss dealing with that pond yard every spring and ice rink all thru winter!!

Next, we went home to feed the chickens and let the dog out of the house. We loaded up the kayaks and drove to the Fishing Bridge to kayak north to look for chunks of ice leftover from winter! We didn't find any and so headed south of the bridge and found a nice pile to crash into! I told Joseph I was going to play Shackleton, but I wasn't going to sink my ship!

By the time we were finished playing in the icefield, we had the solid sheet fairly broken up!

Bucket List Checked off So Far:

  • Hike to Rainbow Bridge in all seasons
        Summer - Check

  • Explore Old Cabin by the Lake on W.Mtn.R.
  • Kayak in the Winter with Ice on the Lake
