Independence Celebrations!
The kids were all ready to do another lemonade stand out by the road. They made regular and strawberry lemonade and sold each cup for $1. They had an icechest next to them filled with ice in cups since the day was warm. Last year the kids made $88. This year, with Uncle Chad's final two dollars, they made $89!
Cascade had their annual parade. Blaire didn't want to participate, but Joseph & Blake did. They walked with the Trail Life (Christian Boy Scouts Equivalent) trailer. After the parade, we had some friends over for a small BBQ. We planned to watch the fireworks from our front yard, not to have to drive to Cascade and mess with the walking and traffic late. Last minute, we decided to hunt out the Donnelly works and ended up over at the boat launch just as last light was showing. It was a nice show, right on the water. We'll definitely go there again. An uncrowded beach 5 minutes from home with a nice view cannot be beat!
She wanted to be red, white, and blue with the pretty white on her head!
