We planned to get a tree on December 5th, so it would be between Joseph and my birthdays. We ended up getting to Larry's Produce, 2 minutes too late; they had just closed their doors! We drove back to Larry's on Friday, the 6th, and we picked out our tree. Chad came with us.
At home, we pulled out the lights to make sure they worked and Blake was fascinated! When we turned out all the overhead lights and took the first picture, he had so much fun! Next, he enjoyed pulling all the candy canes out of their box and spreading them all around the front room!
When Chad and Joseph put up the tree, it took a few days for Blake to touch it. He was pretty afraid of it at first, but he was very excited to see it.
Blake and I have played Peek-A-Boo with the Christmas tree in the weeks since we have had it. =)
He giggles and grins when he sees it.
We have put his bed next to the tree so when he goes to bed, he can sleep with the lights on!

It is so neat to see Blake so interested in things that we don't even blink at! Christmas this year, is not just Christmas. It is Blake's 1st (technically 2nd since he was 6 weeks old last year) Christmas!
At my parents house, their tree is up and decorated. Blake has gotten to where he will touch and play with our tree but he is very scared of my parent's tree still! If he gets around to touching their tree, he yells at it when he touches it! It is pretty amusing!

I like the first pic of Blake covered in lights! I also like how Joseph made on of the letters in your name a palm tree. Very cute. I am enjoying these new posts, Miga!
