Moments of Our Days

May came in nice and warm. We thought we might have an early summer, but after all, it was only fools summer once again!

The field out back was nice and flooded from the snow melt and since it was warm enough, the kids pulled out the kayak to have fun!

We got 10 new chicks to replace some that we'd recently lost to foxes, skunks, and raccoons. We have done pretty good at keeping the coop sealed, but one night of forgetting to close the door will certainly doom a few to an early death. The foxes have been running around during the day and getting the birds while we're gone to town.

Blake has begun to draw: Ships and tanks!

Blaire loves to dance and has been drawing pictures of her and Blake dancing to see if he will then dance with her in the living room!

I love doing this style for Blaire's hair.
She likes it too because it's not as tight as a normal bun would be.

The night before Joseph left for Germany, he showed me how he's been running around base these last 4 years: like a child in clothes too big for him! So I took some seams and made that uniform fit him!

More of Blaire's drawings in the garage.

The pitiful state of my winter garden!
Not too long before my seedlings are visible in abundance!

Lake Cascade

The River at Mom's place. It is SO high this time of year!!

Daddy found a hummingbird trapped in Grama's garage and he was able to catch it!

He showed it to Aiden and let him pet it before releasing it back outside.

Going home late, Blake walked Grama's long driveway out to the road so he could drive his new remote control car from Grampa John.

Blaire has started making us lunch each day! She has a little servant's heart!

The rainy season begun mid May!
