Moments of Our Days

On a trip to Boise, the kids were sneaky and brought their blankets and stuffed animals along. It was the last day to see Daddy before he flew to Germany so we had lunch with him... I was having some engine issues and so we switched vehicles. Of course the day that the kids bring all their items was the day we had to switch to the smaller vehicle! Our Costco and Winco trips were crammed way in! The kids had to ride home with eggs sitting between them on the seat!

Another trip to Boise: Mom and Timothy came with Blake and I. On base, the boys got to see the fun items! Timothy loved the helicopter and Blake loved the tanks.

Blake got his braces off after 11 months on!

A gorgeous drive to Mom's. It's still storming in early June.

Blaire was trying to be sneaky and get into Papa's candy stash above the couch!

Mellie brought a bird into the house... again! Blake caught her before she went too far into the house!

Blaire draws happy people with smily eyes and sad people with sad mouth eyes!

I completed two twin quilt tops! It took me two evenings!
I'm considering giving the dark one to Blaire for her 8th birthday.

Foggy Mornings

Clear late mornings over the lake. The snow is nearly gone!

The kids went to the Quaker Hill Day Camp all week. Crazy Hair Day and Hero Day they dressed up!

Blaire got a message (through Daddy) that her second cousin in Texas wants to be friends! Blaire was all too excited to write her a letter!

Blake hasn't been dancing with Blaire, so she changed her recent pictures to say that her heart is continually broken.

On Friday the 23rd (a full week ahead of schedule), the kids and I got to go down to Boise and pick up Daddy from base. He left Scotland at 8am our time and was supposed to land at 4pm. We got there at 3:45 and found a nice section of asphalt to sit on by the runway. It was quite a warm day, but perfect for sitting and watching airplanes! It felt like a nice summery day at Stonyford, but instead of a shore, we had a runway. This was the first time in a long time that I was able to sit and relax. I was totally at ease, with no where to go and nothing to do. The kids played around, talked about all sorts of things, and we enjoyed our time of waiting. Daddy's flight came in at 5:15!

So excited to finally see Daddy's plane approaching the runway!!

    1. Oh of course, he definitely was! It made me remember Amarillo Texas where we had recently started listening to that CD! Shortly after breaking down in the Walmart Parkinglot in Arkansas!
