On our trip north we took a few hours to go to the Turtle Bay Museum and Activity Center in Redding at the Sundial Bridge. We spent 2 hours there and that was not enough time!! Hopefully we can go back before too long.
Blake discovered his reflection in the bumper of my truck.
Eating Chipotle in the parkinglot before heading in.
Feeling the waterfall against the glass.
Checking out the fishies behind the glass!
Of course, Blake was a little terrified of the fish. They were half his size!
Daddy showing him that it was okay and they couldn't get him no matter how close they swam to him!
He enjoyed the fish on the floor.
Looking on with daddy.
Getting a closer look.
Activity Center.
Blake was very excited to drive this truck!
Surprisingly, Blake played with the Silly Putty and didn't freak out with the texture!
Toytopia! A room full of toys and the history of how they began.
Now that is a big train set!
K'Nex Ferris Wheel!
From the movie, "Big."
Oh, it lights up as I walk!!
Playing with the Monopoly car.
As I wandered through the museum looking at the history of how the Shasta Dam was built, Daddy and Blake went back to look at the fish.
Headed down the boardwalk!
Northern California Bats?!
Blake wanted to drive his truck down the waterway instead of play with the water!
Rearranging the tiles to stop/slow the water flow. Once water built up, Joseph moved the boards, releasing the water which ran down and turned the wooden 5ft. mill.
Time to head on... Blake threw a screaming fit and daddy gave a stern talkin' to!
We so enjoy Blake. Even when he's bein' a little terd!
He was babbling that he wanted to stay and play with his dump truck. Daddy explained that it was time to head out.
One last play time in the fort before hitting the next stop!
We got to walk through the big cage of beautiful birds! They were so squawky! My camera battery died after this shot. Next time we go I'll take more pics of the birds!
