Amanita Camping

We went camping for a week in Aug. This camping trip was quite relaxing! The water level has been lowering consistently. In July, Blaire had lost her "Lucky" playmobil so with the water level being lower, we were able to look for Lucky.  Alas, we weren't lucky and neither was Lucky. She has been abandoned to the not-so-depths of Lake Cascade. We do have her hair though. Before Blaire dropped Lucky into the lake while paddling out in the kayak, she placed Lucky's hair by the camp chairs, 'So her hair won't get lost in the lake." How ironic! haha!

Below the water line, lie a thousand trees that have been left to rot and be a danger to all those dumb enough to drive a boat in this lake! With the water level down, we can see how jagged and scary these logs are! They attached to their strong root systems. Blake is standing next to a very small one here. Just across the way, there are stumps just below the water line that are wider across than I am tall. I'm dwarfed by them and there are dozens of them littering the shore line.

We have been teasing Blake about a little girl we know. Joseph drew the heart in the sand with His and Her initials inside. When we teased him about it, Blaire went to the other side of the heart and wrote, "No + Blaire." She is adamant that she doesn't need a husband!

Campfire pictures! Papa came bearing water gun gifts. The kids had fun putting out the fire for the next few nights after that!
