This year we made it to the Valley Co. Fair & Rodeo. The last few years that we were able, we'd forgotten about it or heard about it after the fact. There wasn't a lot of advertising for the fair here or down in Boise. This is the first time that we got to see the rodeo. The event halls of canning or photography or quilting were all in one hall! Very different than the expo halls I'm used to seeing in Woodland! We attended the rodeo after it got dark so we wouldn't have to pay to get in. Watching the barrel racing or the bull riding was a lot of fun. We ended up going a second night also. The second night we met up with some friends who have 4 little girls and the kids all had a blast!
We were there long past dark. When we got home, Blake still needed to do a chicken check. He called us out to see the birds... a majority of them were roosting up on the rafters of the chicken coop! Bombs away! We now get to watch our heads when entering the coop. Those crazy birds love it up there! I wonder if it's warmer than down below!
